I've a TV series recommendation for you. No, not American Gods (duh!) but this outstandingly creative and deep Netflix series called the OA. Very intricately crafted and profound show. Watch it, you won't regret it.
PS: Don't read the plot or watch the trailer -- just blindly go for it (2 seasons, 16 episodes).
