"I don't like to talk about it"
.
A student once asked Zen Master Joshu:
"Master, what is the style of teaching in your lineage?"
The Master answered:
"I don't like to talk about it."
The student then asked:
"But Master, why don't you like to talk about it?"
The Master replied:
"Because that is the style of teaching in my lineage."
(Somewhat loosely adapted from the chao-chou ch'an shih yü lu, The Recorded Sayings of Master Joshu, translated into English by James Green (googlebooks link).)
