"The Gods and Their Makers" by Edwin Long
Wren Walker, over at The Witches Voice, is always finding fascinating stuff that relates to the portrayal of Paganism in the mass media. These range from enlightened or even enlightening journalism, to items that are quirky or funny, to things that are irksome or even offensive and bigoted. Somewhere nearer the lower end of this spectrum is a piece she posted today in which it is claimed that "ancient goddess figurines" were really just neolithic Barbie dolls, or some such shyte. Whatever.
